Abstract
A ballistic fabric (20) having unidirectional ballistic resistant yarns (22, 24) in at least two layers. The layers are at 90.degree..+-.5.degree. with respect to each other. The ballistic resistant yarns are stabilized by being woven in a second fabric formed of yarns (26, 28) having a substantially lower tenacity and tensile modulus than the ballistic resistant yarns.
