Abstract
In general, the invention provides techniques for remotely controlling an external medical device with a remote device via a wireless communication session. The remote device sends one or more commands to the external medical device via the wireless communication session, and the external medical device carries out the commands. The commands may pertain to various functions such as changing a display, applying a therapy, configuring the therapy, initiating data transmission to a remote location and updating medical event information.
