Abstract
The invention relates to a herbicidal composition comprising: (a) glyphosate acid or an agriculturally acceptable salt or derivative thereof, and (b) a surface active component having formula (i) or a quaternized form thereof or the amine oxide derivative thereof, wherein R1 and R2 each independently represent a straight or branched chain alkyl or alkenyl group having from 4 to 24 C-atoms, R.sub.3 in each (R.sub.3--O)-group may be the same or different and represents alkylene having from 2 to 4 carbon atoms, and x and y are average numbers such that x+y is in the range from 2 to 160. It further relates to adjuvant compositions comprising such surface active compounds and to a method for the control compositions. These compositions show improved herbicidal efficacy and may contain high concentrations of glyphosate.
