A device in the riser-tensioning device or a vessel (1), in which a wire (30) is connected to a riser (8) and extends from the riser (8) up to and over pulley wheels (18', 18') and on to a wire-tensioning device (22), the two parts of the wire (30) extending in opposite, essentially horizontal directions out from the pulley wheels (18', 18').
