A particulate laundry detergent composition having an equilibrium relative humidity value at 25.degree. C. and 1 atmosphere of at least 10% and comprising an effervescent granule, the effervescent granule comprising an acid source, a carbonate source and a desiccant is provided. The granules are stable even though they are contained within a humid environment.
