Abstract
Optimized method for assembling two substantially flat parts. To assemble two parts (10, 12) that are substantially flat using fixations (14) such as rivets or bolts, first the ratio R is calculated between tensile and bending stresses relating to the forces to be transmitted. The end line of the fixations (14) is then oriented along an angle .alpha. whose absolute value is such that 10.8 ln(R)+16<.vertline..alpha..vertline.<13.9 ln(R)+28 when the ratio R is 1 or more, and such that 16.degree.<.vertline..alpha..vertline.<28.degree. when the ratio R is less than 1. The absolute value of angle .alpha. does not exceed 90.degree..
