Abstract
A rock drill bit for percussive drilling, especially top hammer drilling, includes a drill head provided with rock removing members. The rock drill bit is provided with a number of external grooves for conducting cuttings, the grooves extending in the axial direction of the rock drill bit. Formed between adjacent grooves are lands which also extend in the axial direction of the rock drill bit. The rock drill bit has a thread for connection of the rock drill bit to a drill rod. Rear end portions of at least some of the lands define retrac teeth. Each retrac tooth has at least one cutting edge. At least some of the lands comprise a chip surface and a clearance surface that form therebetween an edge angle not greater than 100.degree..
