Abstract
A transalkylation process of benzene and C.sub.9.sup.+ aromatics for the production of toluene and C.sub.8 aromatics. The transalkylation is operated in the presence of hydrogen, at a benzene to C.sub.9.sup.+A ratio of 10-90:90-10 by weight, a reaction temperature of 300-600.quadrature., a reaction pressure of 1.0-6.0 MPa, a weight space velocity of the feed stream of 0.5-5.0 h.sup.-1, and a hydrogen to hydrocarbon mole ratio of 1-15 in a gas-solid phase fixed bed reactor having a transalkylation catalyst comprising H-zeolite and molybdenum.
