Abstract
There is described a method of treatment of a patient suffering from constipation characterised in that the method comprises the administration of a therapeutically effective amount of devazepide. There is also described a method of treatment of a patient requiring analgesia which comprises the separate, simultaneous or sequential administration of a therapeutically effective amount of an analgesic and a stool softening amount of devazepide. The use of devazepide in the manufacture of a medicament is also described.
