Abstract
A microbicidal disinfectant and an antimicrobial agent comprising a cation polymer represented by general formula [1] and an antimicrobial material using a cation polymer represented by general formula [1]. 1 In general formula [1], R.sup.1 represents an alkyl group or a hydroxyalkyl group each having 1 to 4 carbon atoms or an alkenyl group having 2 to 4 carbon atoms, R.sup.2 represents an alkylene group having 2 to 10 carbon atoms, R.sup.3 represents a heteroalkylene group or a heteroalkylene group having hydroxyl group each having 2 to 6 carbon atoms, A.sup.- represents an anion and n represents a number of 40 to 500.
