Abstract
A method and apparatus having a sealing roller design that permits the sealing of a folded mailer form with only one pass with a pair of sealing rollers. One of the pair of sealing rollers contains a recessed portion such that only the perimeter of the form is contacted with the selected portions of the sealing roller pair. Slots are provided inside the recessed portion of one of the sealing rollers for accommodating removably attached narrow horizontal sealing bars. The horizontal sealing bars align only with the transverse edges of the folded mailer form as the form passes through the nip of the sealing rollers thereby skipping over any content that may be housed in the form.
