Abstract
A dielectric ceramic composition of high dielectric constant and low dielectric loss, which can be co-fired with Ag electrodes, is provided for use in various parts of electric and electronic appliances. The composition is represented by the following chemical formula: a wt. % {x BaO--y.sub.1 Nd.sub.2 O.sub.3 --y.sub.2 Sm.sub.2 O.sub.3 --w Bi.sub.2 O.sub.3 --z TiO.sub.2 }+ b wt. % (ZnO--B.sub.2 O.sub.3 --SiO.sub.2 --PbO based glass frit)+ c wt. % CuO wherein, 10.0 mol %.ltoreq.x.ltoreq.20.0 mol %; 7.0 mol %.ltoreq.y.sub.1 +y.sub.2.ltoreq.20.0 mol %; 0.5 mol %.ltoreq.w.ltoreq.5.0 mol %; 60.0 mol %.ltoreq.z.ltoreq.80.0 mol %, with the proviso that x+y.sub.1 +y.sub.2 +w+z=100; 80.0 wt. %.ltoreq.a.ltoreq.98.0 wt. %; 1.0 wt. %.ltoreq.b.ltoreq.10.0 wt. %; 1.0 wt. %.ltoreq.c.ltoreq.10.0 wt. %.
