Abstract
The invention relates to a batch, in particular for the production of refractory shaped bodies, which includes a refractory, metal oxide main component containing 40 to 60% by weight of Al.sub.2O.sub.3, a phosphate bond and finely particulate SiC with a grain size of <0.2 mm, and to a process for its production.
