Abstract
The invention relates to a process for the coating of the rolls of a twin-roll continuous casting machine wherein a release product containing a release agent, such as graphite, is applied and the composition of the release product is adjusted as it is applied to the rolls. The invention also relates to a device for coating the rolls of a twin-roll continuous casting machine which includes means for applying a release product and means for adjusting the composition of the release product while it is applied to the rolls. The invention makes it possible to improve control of the quality and distribution of the release product over the surface of the rolls.
