Abstract
A retaining unit of a laser oscillator retains, in an integratedly coupled fashion, a chamber for accommodating and retaining a cylindrical YAG rod and excitation light supply units (excitation laser units), a mirror retainer for embracing and retaining a total reflection mirror, and a coupling unit interposed between the chamber and the mirror retainer in an intimately contacted fashion. Cooling water CW introduced from a cooling water inlet port (IN) of the coupling unit into the interior of the retaining unit flows through connection passages within the coupling unit, connection passages within the chamber, internal flow paths of the excitation laser units, connection passages at outside end of the chamber, a flow path within a tube, connection passages within the chamber, and connection passages within the coupling unit, into a cooling water outlet port (OUT) for discharge therefrom.
